Nightstand is an acrylic portrayal of an elegant bedside table, complete with an assortment of objects representing the identity and nightly routine of the person it belongs to. The arrangement of objects anthropomorphizes the work, producing an implicit dialog between lamp, flowers, martini, cigarette and mushrooms, resulting in an eccentric visual comedy. The use of  curvy, yet controlled lines and solid chunky shapes is a signature quality of Miss Grace Blair's body of work.
